Trying to figure out what to watch on Prime Video? Amazon’s platform is constantly shuffling out new movies and shows to stream, and wasting time searching through all the options is not how anyone wants to spend their hard-earned night off. That’s why I regularly comb through everything new on Prime Video (and all the best streaming services, for that matter) to highlight what’s actually worth your time.

If you can’t decide on your next show to binge-watch, I’ve got you covered. I’ve just rounded up the streamer’s recent releases to find three shows that I think Prime Video subscribers will want to add to their watchlists this weekend.

Below, you can find a quick round-up of these three new-to-Prime Video recommendations that deserve to be on your radar, including a new historical drama that’s like a cross between “Game of Thrones” and “Succession.”

Nearly two years after its record-breaking debut, “Hazbin Hotel” is finally open for business again. Vivienne Medrano’s viral musical adult animated series follows the princess of Hell, Charlie (Erika Henningsen), with pie-in-the-sky dreams of redeeming sinners to give them a shot at Heaven. Some of the biggest names on Broadway and Hollywood sing along as a colorful cast of demons and foul-mouthed angels, including Christian Borle, Alex Brightman, Stephanie Beatriz, Keith David, and Jeremy Jordan.

In the new season, business is booming, but not everyone checking in shares Charlie’s noble intentions. With Hell and Heaven on the brink of outright war and Sir Pentious (Brightman) still MIA after the finale’s big battle, the Vees, a trio of Hell’s most powerful overlords, see an opportunity to seize control amid all the chaos.

Watch On

Prime Video’s new historical drama series “King & Conquerer” is like a cross between “Game of Thrones” and “Succession,” and fans are already calling it the streamer’s next must-watch. It tells the story of the Battle of Hastings, which shaped the fate of the continent for the next thousand years.

James Norton plays Harold Godwinson, England’s last crowned Anglo-Saxon king, alongside Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as William the Conqueror. The two men, related by marriage, start out as unlikely allies with neither intent on claiming the British crown. But circumstances beyond their control pit them against each other, a rivalry that culminates on the battlefield in 1066, where the struggle for England’s future would be decided.

Watch On

Prime Video just got a new five-part miniseries that looks like Brazil’s version of “Orange is the New Black.” “Tremembé” drops audiences into Brazil’s infamous Tremembé Penitentiary, though it trades real-world criminals for characters inspired by headline-making scandals.

This five-part miniseries follows the fragile alliances, power plays, and high-stakes bets that can decide whether you live or die behind bars. The stellar cast includes high-profile Brazilian talent, led by Brazilian telenovela star Marina Ruy Barbosa (“Empire”), along with Carol Garcia, Bianca Comparato, Silmara Deon, and Letcia Tomazella.
