At £8.99/$9.99 a month, Apple TV Plus is ad-free, offers up to 4K resolution, spatial audio and can be shared with up to five family members.
Apple TV free trial
There are a few ways to nab a free trial of Apple TV Plus. Firstly, if you purchase a brand new Apple device, such as one of the best iPhones, best iPads or best Macs, then you’ll normally receive a free trial of Apple TV Plus, although availability and eligibility may vary. You’ll find this trial automatically in the Apple TV app, as long as you’re signed into the Apple Account that’s associated with your recent purchase.
New members can also usually access a seven day free trial of Apple TV Plus via the Apple TV app or browser.
Apple TV Plus discounts
Much like getting a free trial, there are a few ways to nab an Apple TV Plus discount, with the main method being Apple One.
Apple One is a convenient way to bundle up to five Apple services into a single monthly subscription. Starting at £18.95/$19.95 a month for the Individual Plan, you can access Apple Arcade, Apple Music and, of course, Apple TV Plus alongside 50GB of iCloud Plus Storage. Or opt for the Family plan for an additional £6/$7 which boasts 200GB of iCloud Plus storage and is designed to be shared between up to six users.
Alternatively there’s the Premier Plan which costs a bit more at £36.95/$37.95 a month and includes everything in the above services but also throws in Apple Fitness Plus, Apple News Plus and a whopping 2TB of iCloud Plus storage too.
Students should take note that the Apple Music Student Plan, which is just £5.99/$5.99, also comes equipped with a free subscription to Apple TV Plus.
