At MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2025, Chinese brand Honor launched its Alpha Strategy, announcing its envisioned transformation from a smartphone maker to a global AI device ecosystem company. According to the company, the Alpha Strategy is set to unfold in three phases: Smart Smartphones, Smart Ecosystems, and Smart World. Honor CEO Li Jian revealed plans to invest $10 billion over the next five years to develop an AI-powered ecosystem in partnership with global collaborators. Honor also said its mobile AI assistant, developed with Google and Qualcomm, will leverage contextual app data to assist users in tasks such as booking restaurants while considering other factors including calendar schedules and traffic.
