Adobe continues to roll out the red carpet for today’s AI models. This time, it’s Google who enters the scene: its Gemini 3 model, in its Nano Banana Pro version, is now integrated directly into Firefly and Photoshop. Enough to further transform these tools into a true one-stop shop for AI-assisted creation.
The AI toolbox is growing
This integration is taking place as creatives increasingly adopt an “all you can eat buffet” approach: according to a study conducted among 16,000 professionals, 6 out of 10 regularly use several AIs to find the one that will give the best result at the right time. Adobe understands this well and promises to “ let use the best model for each task » without having to chase new features or multiply subscriptions (there is already the Creative Cloud to pay for…).
Before this reinforcement from Google, Firefly already offered a well-filled cast: OpenAI, Black Forest Labs, Pika, Runway, Ideogram, ElevenLabs… in short, a real line-up of AI stars. The arrival of Nano Banana Pro completes this line-up with better image generation, cleaner rendering of texts and a finer understanding of complex requests.
In Firefly, Nano Banana Pro makes its debut with the “Text to Image” function, where it will generate visuals that are more detailed, better integrated and more faithful to the user’s intentions — at least, it will try. The model is also accessible in Firefly Boards, the collaborative tool that helps teams organize and explore their ideas, the equivalent of an AI-powered whiteboard.
Photoshop, for its part, strengthens its generative fill tool with this new model. Result: more credible scene extensions, retouches better merged with the original image, and generated text finally worthy of the name. The model also facilitates light changes, framing variations or localized modifications thanks to more precise prompts.
Adobe also emphasizes another new feature: Nano Banana Pro can rely on the Google Search knowledge base to produce consistent visuals. Useful to avoid gross errors or impossible images that sometimes arise in AI generators. And of course, all this remains compatible with the classic Photoshop tools: layers, masks, selections… no need to change your habits.
To encourage users to try this new AI, Adobe is offering unlimited image generation in Firefly until December 1. The offer covers in-house models and partner models, including Nano Banana Pro, and concerns Creative Cloud Pro subscribers and Firefly plan users.
