Versatile 2026 brings together Zasio’s leading information management solutions in an easy-to-use platform, including electronic records management, retention schedule management and physical records management.
BOISE, ID / ACCESS Newswire / March 31, 2026 / Zasio, a global innovator in B2B information management and records management solutions since 1987, is proud to announce a major software update to its Versatile franchise with the release of Versatile 2026.
The update represents a significant step forward in archive and information management software, combining powerful new features with intuitive tools you can actually use, thanks to Zasio’s signature simplicity.
Versatile 2026 brings together Zasio’s leading information management solutions in an easy-to-use platform, including electronic records management, retention schedule management and physical records management. With Versatile 2026 you choose the features you need. Whether it’s gaining control over unstructured documents, tracking boxes across multiple locations, or setting up national or global retention schedules, there’s no need to purchase separate software.
“Versatile 2026 marks a significant evolution in the way organizations manage and govern their information,” said Kevin Zasio, founder and CEO. “By uniting physical and electronic documents into a single, cohesive collection, we are breaking down long-standing barriers and giving organizations a clearer, more complete view of their information.”
Main improvements
Building on the success of Versatile 2025, the updated release offers a more user-friendly experience with a cleaner navigation bar and a redesigned home screen that focuses on your most used tools (recent updates, integrated digital repositories, and personal collections of records). A new floating toolbar keeps shortcuts at your fingertips wherever you navigate.
In another exciting update, Electronic Records Management (ERM) is now fully integrated, putting your most important digital assets in the same view as physical documents and retention schedules.
“Behind Versatile 2026 is a dedicated team effort aimed at improving electronic document management and enabling seamless preservation of physical and electronic documents,” said Zasio. “Through extensive development and collaboration, they have created a more unified platform where both record types function together as one cohesive collection.”
The new My Collections feature lets you group mixed content for audits or projects without moving records, and easily share collections with others. Finally, our enhanced AI-powered Versatile Information Assistant (VIA) recommends retention schedules and quotes based on user queries. VIA may ask clarifying questions to ensure proper context and allow you to browse through recommendations before adding them to your existing retention schedule.
Designed for simplicity and power
Unlike many applications that become more complex with every update, Zasio ensures that every new feature improves usability.
“We are committed to enriching the user experience while adding functionality,” said Warren Bean, Vice President of Technology and Product Development. “We don’t believe you should have to search the Internet to find out how to use our products. It should be intuitive.”
Versatile 2026 represents Zasio’s next major update to the company’s industry-leading information and compliance platform. The release is currently scheduled for early May.
