Adobe brings a first pro setting with the integration of news optimized by AI to help creators accelerate video editing, media search and dissemination. All these new features come out of the beta version with version 25.2 of the famous flagship video mounting software and are accessible to all users.
Generative extension: the new first pro flagship asset?
At the heart of this update is the generative extension (EXTEN GENERATIVE). Optimized by Adobe’s Firefly Generative IA video model, this function allows editors to intelligently extend the duration of their video and audio clips. If a plan is too short for a fluid transition or to adapt perfectly to the rhythm of the assembly, the generative extension can add additional images (up to two seconds depending on certain information, although the exact duration can vary) and prolong the audio of ambient (potentially up to ten seconds for audio alone).

This feature now supports 4K quality as well as vertical video formats, meeting the needs of modern productions and creation for social networks. Adobe specifies that the generative extension will be free for a limited period, before operating via a system of generative credit Firefly, the cost of which will depend in particular on resolution and video format. Contents Credentials will be attached directly to the files to guarantee transparency around the content generated by the AI.
With Media Intelligence, first pro wants to save time for editors
The other major novelty is Media Intelligence, a functionality directly integrated via a new search panel optimized by AI. It aims to transform the way in which the editors interact with their content by analyzing and automatically recognizing the content of the video clips. Rather than manually seeking specific sequences in its video library, Media Intelligence can recognize objects, places, camera angles, actions or even metadata (filming date, type of camera, etc.). This should allow the editors to save time by finding specific plans using simple textual descriptions, such as “close -ups of hands working in a kitchen”.
Adobe also announces that the automatic translation of subtitles evolves to support 27 different languages directly in Premiere Pro. At the same time, color management is simplified thanks to color management (premiere color management), which automatically converts raw files (log) of most cameras into SDR or standard colorimetric spaces from importation, guaranteeing faithful and vibrant colors without requiring complex manipulations (Luts).
New for After Effects and Frame.io
These advances are accompanied by performance improvements on Apple and Windows devices. Adobe also updates After Effects with improved 3D tools, HDR monitoring and a more efficient overview, while Frame.io benefits from extensive storage and new revision and transcription tools. Finally, Frame.io receives updates with new extended text reviews of text documents, transcription generation (in beta), watermark and group access (in beta).
As a reminder, Adobe Premiere Pro is available from 26.21 euros/month. The Formula all Creative Cloud is displayed at 33.49 euros/month for the first three months, then 67.01 euros/month in the following months.
