Artificial intelligence is evolving fast with agentic AI taking it further by reasoning, adjusting and adapting in real time to get results.
Capgemini LLC. offers Agentic AI for Enterprise, enabling organizations to embed autonomous AI agents into existing systems with governance, scalability and speed. Powered by Workato Inc.’s low-code/no-code platform, businesses can rapidly build, configure and manage purpose-specific AI agents, according to Al Liubinskas (pictured, left), vice president and NA cloud integration practice lead at Capgemini.
Capgemini’s Al Liubinskas talks with theCUBE about the transformative impact of agentic AI.
“There’s no way a Fortune 500 company will select a single agentic platform,” Liubinskas said. “There’ll be SAPs, there’ll be Oracles, there’ll be Workdays, but there has to be some glue that’s going to connect to all of them. This is where I see Workato having the appropriate services in the agentic space to basically declare the guardrails, because that’s what they need.”
Liubinskas and David Ng (right), vice president and partner of go to market and Alliances at Workato, spoke with theCUBE’s Savannah Peterson and Rob Strechay at the WOW: World of Workato event, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, News Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed the importance of agentic AI in the enterprise and how Capgemini and Workato are turning it into reality. (* Disclosure below.)
Agentic AI acts as an intelligent conductor that orchestrates actions
Unlike traditional AI that only generates outputs, agentic AI serves as an orchestration layer — coordinating, sequencing and managing actions across systems, tools and workflows. The Capgemini-Workato partnership is designed to bring this vision to life, according to Liubinskas.
“The whole concept of agentic AI is the ability to manage across multiple domains,” he said. “It’s like the next future evolution of integration. You need to have that orchestration layer to tie supply chains with financial agents, with HR agents and so forth. We work a lot with the enterprise architecture organizations to make sure that the guardrails are applied so that there’s a trust that there is the ability to validate the truth. This capability that Workato is providing provides that kind of service, based on their experiences of doing integration services.”
In the competitive enterprise integration and automation space, Workato’s success hinges on a strong go-to-market strategy and an ecosystem of partners. This makes alliances with companies such as Capgemini essential, according to Ng.
“Workato, we’ve always built our go-to market around the ecosystem,” he said. “We rely heavily on our ecosystem for growth and also to find deep relevance in various industries. As we are developing our platform to win in the enterprise, we need to partner with organizations like Capgemini who have the ear of the CIO in the enterprise. As we were preparing for this phase, they were looking at us from a distance for a while. It was a multi-pronged approach to get their attention … it was a journey.”
Workato stands out in the crowded integration and automation space with its ease-of-use and comprehensive automation capabilities. This enables organizations to operate faster and smarter, Liubinskas pointed out.
“I think Workato has this ease-of-use capability, that’s their mantra, to allow the customers to quickly adopt or implement a solution,” he said. “They have a full set of automation platforms from reading PDF documents to workflow to developer portals to API management and so forth. They have the middle layer of well-structured components. Everything’s integrated. It’s not an acquisition-based platform … it’s homegrown.”
