On Tuesday, New Orleans, Louisiana, singer Jourdan Blue took the stage after blowing the judges away with a soulful audition back in July.
However, things took a turn for the worse as he fell ill the day of the taping and nearly had to skip his entire performance.
According to an eyewitness, Jourdan was seen by several audience members “running off to the side” and “hovering over a trash can.”
“We saw him standing with his guitar and then a few times he had to run to a trash bin.
“Producers were huddled around him trying to help but we saw and heard it go down. It was disgusting, but we felt bad for the poor guy,” the insider spilled.
After several attempts to gain his composure, Jourdan was finally able to take to the stage.
Although he appeared nervous, viewers at home wouldn’t have known that just minutes before he performed, he was vomiting as intensely as he was.
Jourdan went on to perform an emotional rendition of Calum Scott’s song, Biblical.

Following the performance, he touched on his health issues when speaking to judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Mel B.
“Just before the break, you almost didn’t come on because you’re sick, is that right?” Simon asked the singing hopeful.
“I just threw up three times,” Jourdan responded with a laugh – to which Simon apologized for.
Simon, 65, then told him: “You could’ve bailed actually. Because I heard you may not have come on tonight.
“I’ll say this, the fact that you had the guts to come out and sing – you did bloody well.”
Appearing to get emotional, Jourdan then responded: “This is everything to me.
“There wasn’t going to be anything that holds me back from that.”
Howie, who chose Jourdan as his one Golden Buzzer choice earlier this season, was equally impressed with the performance.
He told the singer: “I really truly feel that you can win this. I follow you online. It’s amazing considering how sick you are.
“I know it could even be 10 times better. But the fact you had the desire to come out here and deal with whatever you’re dealing with, well down.”
