Apple keeps rolling out new features for the masses to enhance the user experience. Now, it is being said that the Apple AirPods will get a software update with which it will get a new conversation translation feature. According to a report by Bloomberg, the TWS by Apple will be able to translate in-person conversations in real-time. The feature is currently available on Google’s Pixel headphones and it works only when the device is paired with a Pixel phone.
AirPods live translation feature: What do we know?
The Bloomberg report suggested that Apple is planning to introduce a new in-person conversation translation feature for AirPods that will arrive in the form of a software update in the second half of this year. It means that the users will most probably get to see the feature in the current AirPod variants. Rumors have it that the feature will be available with the upcoming iOS 19 operating system.
The real-time conversation translation feature will depend on the connected iPhone. It is being said that the use of a smartphone’s chipset to translate audio received from the AirPods. As an example, a user listening to a non-English speaker would hear a translator version of their message while the speaker would hear responses translated from English to their preferred language through the iPhone’s speaker.
Apart from that, leaks also suggest that the Cupertino-giant is also working on a successor for the AirPods Pro 2nd generation. Along with that, the company is also developing a pair of AirPods that will include AI and camera as well. As of now, there is no confirmation from Apple regarding the upcoming devices. There are chances that we will get to know more once Apple announces something officially.
