AMAZON has kick-started its Black Friday sale early with some huge savings on the popular Fire Stick.
And less than a month after launching, the newest Fire Stick is currently better than half price.
Fire TV Stick 4K Select – £49.99 £23.99
The Fire TV Stick 4K Select has been slashed from £49.99 to £23.99 for a limited time.
It’s the first time this model has had a substantial discount, making it the cheapest 4K streaming stick Amazon has ever had.
Even the less powerful Fire TV Stick HD is more expensive at the moment, at £39.99.

FIRE WALL
Amazon’s new Fire Stick has ANOTHER piracy-busting feature blocking illegal telly
The biggest change on the Select is the operating system, though many users may not notice much difference visually.
Amazon has switched away from making the Fire Stick based on Android, to its own Vega operating system.
This gives the tech giant more control over what apps can and can’t feature on Fire Sticks.
And it means illegal streaming apps are finally blocked, after years of piracy concerns from illegal modified Fire Sticks that enabled access to Premier League matches and unlimited movies on the cheap.
Blocking illegal streaming also keeps users safer, as there have been reports that cyber crooks operating such apps are targeting people with scams to raid their bank accounts.
The changes are being rolled out to older Fire Sticks as well.
VPNs still aren’t available on the new Fire Stick either but there is work to enable them soon.
“NordVPN, Xbox and Amazon Luna are coming soon to Fire TV Stick 4K Select,” Amazon’s website states.
Other models except the Fire TV Stick HD have also been discounted during Black Friday.
The main Fire TV Stick 4K is now £29.99, down from £59.99.
And the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is £39.99, instead of £69.99.
Meanwhile the most expensive Fire TV Cube device is slashed from £139.99 to £109.99.
