ANDY Reid deflected a question about his amazing coaching record by making a joke at his own expense.
Reid led his Kansas City Chiefs back to the AFC Championship Game with yet another win this weekend.
The victory over the Houston Texans took Reid into an exclusive club.
He became just the fourth NFL coach in history to rack up 300 wins.
Reid joined George Halas, Don Shula and Bill Belichick to have achieved the feat.
But the Kansas City Chiefs coach was in no mood to dwell on his own achievements.
He was asked about the accomplishment by reporters Saturday.
“It takes a lot of people to make something like this happen,” Reid said.
“I joked to the guys that you get a couple more, you might be able to equal my weight.”
Reid is known to have a love for cheeseburgers.
And he’s formed an incredible relationship with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City.
The win over the Houston Texans sealed their spot in the AFC Championship Game again.
It is their seventh straight appearance and the pair have won three Super Bowls together already.
The Chiefs are aiming to become the first team in history to win three straight Super Bowls.
Mahomes said, “He’s more than a great coach, he’s just a great person and guys want to play for a guy like that.
“I owe him a lot of my success.
“I told him we need to get to 302 this year and then worry about next year.”
