Apple launched iPhone 16e on February 19, 2025, and pre-orders began on February 21, 2025. However, the device started to be available on 28 February 2025. The smartphone started to create buzz since its long as the tech giant was expected to reveal iPhone SE 4. Nevertheless, things changed and Apple came up with a slightly high-end variant in its iPhone 16 lineup and launched the iPhone 16e.
Recently, a tech reviewer named Dave Lee revealed the battery capacity and the performance of the iPhone 16e. Apple is known to never share the battery capacity of its iPhones and hence the tech giant announced that the battery of iPhone 16e is not just larger but also offers longer life, it becomes quite interesting to understand what battery capacity does iPhone 16 e offers.
As per Dave Lee, the iPhone 16 e is equipped with 3,961mAh battery capacity which is bigger than the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro are powered by 3,561mAh and 3,582mAh batteries, respectively as per reports. The reviewer also shared several test results that showcase the improved battery life of the iPhone 16e.
His test showcases that the iPhone 16e lasts for 12 Hr 54 minutes with Reddit loop on Wifi, however, the iPhone 16 lasts for 11 hours and 17 minutes. The test further revealed that the iPhone 16e lasted 3 Hr 39 minutes when playing Pokemon Unite and the iPhone 16 lasted only for 3 Hr 07 minutes.
To recall, the iPhone 16 Pro reportedly has a 4,685mAh battery, and the iPhone 16 Plus has a 4,674mAh battery and both the phones outperformed iPhone 16e in battery performance. iPhone 16 Pro Max battery lasted for 13 hours and 41 minutes in comparison to iPhone 16 e which lasted for 12 hours 54 minutes.
