Apple has always been at the centre of innovation when it comes to bringing new iPhones. Every year, the tech giant brings something or the other in smartphone technology. As the anticipation builds for the upcoming iPhone 17 series, a new and fresh report is hinting at its new battery technology. These reports hint at significant upgrades that could reshape the overall user experience once again. While details remain under wraps, early reports suggest that the company might be preparing to introduce an innovative silicon battery technology in the iPhone 17 Air under the hood.

Here’s Everything We Know So Far About iPhone 17 Air Battery Technology:

Apple iPhone 17 Air Battery Technology:

As per report coming from the Japanese supplier TDK, Apple might be getting ready to bring an advanced battery technology to its iPhone 17 Air. The upcoming ultra thin iPhone from Apple could be equipped with the silicon batteries, rather than the traditional graphite. This means if this technology is embedded in the upcoming iPhone 17 Air then it will pack more than 15% energy as compared to the iPhones available in market right now.

Other than this, Apple is also reportedly planning to equip its upcoming iPhone 17 Air with highly efficient C1 Modem so that the device can easily get through a full day without needing to be recharged. If this happens, then it is expected to optimize the connectivity while consuming less power.

Another report also suggest the exact battery size of the iPhone 17 Air with 2,800 mAh battery which is smaller as compared to the 3,900 mAh battery found in the similarly sized Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. The leak also mentions the device’s weight which is just 145 grams which is also impressively light.
