Apple reportedly plans to unveil its the results of the Gemini-powered Siri revamp within the next month, according to a report over the weekend.
The well-connected Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman says the long-overdue generative AI version of the assistant will be demonstrated during “the second half of February.”
While Apple will showcase the fruits of the alliance with Google, which is believed to be a more conversational Siri with deeper contextual understanding of your requests based upon information from other apps, it’s just the first part of the rollout. The release will happen as iOS 26.4, which will be available to beta test as soon as March, the report says.
There’ll also be an AI chatbot element, similar to Open AI’s ChatGPT. The partnership with Google is believed to aid both Apple and Google as it seeks to fend off the AI upstart. That may be part of a grander relaunch of Siri and Apple Intelligence for iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27.
Those features will be demonstrated at WWDC in June. That’ll be a full two-years after the new-and=improved Siri was announced by the company. Apple announced last year the update will be delayed until Spring 2026.
