I personally recommend the ANC version of the AirPods 4 because being able to activate ANC and block out all surrounding noise is a major benefit. I use it all the time on my AirPods when I’m on the train or flying, and it makes it much easier to focus on what I’m listening to, whether it’s music, a podcast, or a movie. To me, ANC really feels like magic, and once you experience it, you won’t want earbuds without it again.

I’ve been using the AirPods Pro 2 every day for a while, and I’ve never been disappointed by them. The ANC is incredible, and the battery life is equally impressive. I easily get around five to six hours of use on a single charge before needing to return them to the charging case. AirPods Pro 2 also feature Precision Finding in the Find My app, so if you misplace them — which happens to me at least once a week — you can easily locate them again.
Apple’s new AirPods Pro 3 are $250, offering improved ANC and a new foam-infused ear tip design, among other features. However, if you’re looking to save money, the AirPods Pro 2 are still a good option in 2025 in my view, and you won’t be missing out on much.
