The ASUS ProArt Display 8K is a new monitor that the Taiwanese firm highlights as the World’s first professional mini LED 8K HDR monitor. A dream for content creators.
The monitor uses an I panelReal 10-bit mini-LED PSwith a diagonal of 32 inches and a resolution 8K which is the industry’s current peak in display screens. This native resolution offers 7680 X 4320 pixels, up to 300% more screen real estate compared to similarly sized 4K UHD displays.
The higher pixel density results in sharper text for better readability, as well as improved visual clarity that’s ideal for creators working on detailed design projects. Additionally, the latest mini LED technology uses a new LED light profile that focuses the backlight more directly and precisely to dramatically reduce visual artifacts and halo effect.
Within the PA32KCX there are numerous integrated control chips (ICs) that independently manage the backlight zones to effectively minimize on-screen flicker during transitions, ensuring sustained high levels of brightness. The monitor can reach a maximum brightness of 1200 nits and 1000 nits of sustained full-screen brightness, enabling exceptional contrast between deep blacks and bright whites.
ASUS ProArt Display 8K, the importance of color
As expected, the ASUS ProArt Display 8K exceeds the standards of color reproduction of the industry with its color gamut, 95% Adobe RGB, 97% DCI-P3, 100% sRGB, 100% Rec. 709, ideal for video editing and post-production. Each ProArt display is factory pre-calibrated using a new three-scale process to ensure color fidelity, smoother color gradations, better uniformity, and high color accuracy with a Delta E color difference value <1.
To maintain professional-grade accuracy over the long term, the PA32KCX benefits from a Integrated motorized rotary colorimeter which moves when needed, making it easy to calibrate the screen. The colorimeter has an independent auto-calibration function compatible with any operating system and does not require additional calibration software. Users can run the calibration process at any time or schedule it outside of business hours via the OSD menu.
Integrated ASUS ProArt Calibration technology saves all color parameter profiles directly to the internal scaler IC chip. The monitor can be calibrated and the lookup table can be rewritten later, allowing users to connect it to devices with different operating systems or applications without needing to adjust settings.
Enhancing the functions of high dynamic rangethe monitor supports multiple HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, HLG and HDR10. It also counts with an ambient light sensor that automatically dims or brightens the screen based on ambient lighting, and a proximity sensor that automatically dims the screen when it detects no user in front of the monitor.
As to connectivityboth stand out Thunderbolt 4 ports, plus two DisplayPort 2.1 and two HDMI 2.1 ports ensure compatibility with current and future displays and peripherals. One of the Thunderbolt 4 ports provides up to 96 watts of power delivery for charging devices, while the other port allows users to daisy chain multiple displays, without the need for a hub or switch.
Finally, highlight the Automatic KVM integrated that allows effortless switching and control between two connected laptops or PCs with a single keyboard and mouse, making multitasking easy. The ergonomic stand offers tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustments for complete flexibility of use. The ASUS ProArt Display 8K includes a wrap-around visor that reduces reflections from nearby light sources on the screen, allowing users to work comfortably anywhere.
