Atos has decided to relaunch the Bull branda company that it bought 12 years ago, and which from now on will be the company in charge of encompassing all its areas dedicated to AI, high performance computing (HPC) and quantum computing. Once this is done, it will become a private and independent company.
This step taken by Atos comes after the company’s share purchase agreement with France was signed, materialized at the end of last July. If everything goes as planned by Atos management, the operation will be closed during the first half of 2026.
Currently, Bull has around 2,500 employees, and has a presence in Europe, Latin America and India. Its BullSequana high-performance computing systems are the integrated foundation in several of the most powerful supercomputers currently operating in the world.
