The Apple AirPods Pro 2 are easily some of the best wireless earbuds that money can buy right now, but their fantastic feature set isn’t the justification for a purchase in and of itself – their fairly high price may be beyond the budget of a lot of consumers.
Retailing at around $249, there’s no denying that the AirPods Pro 2 don’t come cheap, but the small price tag incredibly belies a feature set that far exceeds what you might expect. As luck would have it, however, there’s a mean deal out there right now for the AirPods Pro 2, letting you save a quick $80 on their RRP at $169.

Because of their Bluetooth connectivity, you don’t actually need to be using an iPhone to get the most out of the AirPods Pro 2, although you’ll be missing some key features if you aren’t in Apple’s ecosystem.
When you do pair the AirPods Pro 2 to an iPhone or Apple device, that’s when the show really gets underway. As the first wireless earbuds to pack Apple’s H2 chip, the AirPods Pro 2 offer a high-fidelity sound experience like no other.
This level of audio quality is complemented by the personalized spatial audio settings that keep those who are more engaged with the world around them in mind. When you do need to zone out and let the world fade into the background, however, the Active Noise Cancellation setting on the AirPods Pro 2 kicks into gear, keeping ambient noises at bay.
There’s also the transparency mode, which, as the name would suggest, allows you to hear the world around you when you need to, so you never find yourself missing a key announcement at the train station (or anything else for that matter).
Unfortunately, the batteries still last for roughly the same timeframe as the original pair of AirPods Pro, but if you pick up a wireless charging case with them, then you’re at least covered for a swift battery top-up while you wait for a train, or something similar.
With the previous Pro-level AirPods now having a second-generation successor and a USB-C charging case available, it’s best to stay up to date on any deals for those too. Still, with an $80 saving on hand, there’s plenty enough here to justify picking up the AirPods Pro 2 when they’re just $169.
