DAVE Portnoy is morning the loss of one of his Barstool Sports employees.
Barstool Sports Nashville’s Iga Obryca died earlier this week at 28 years old.

Obrycka’s cause of death has yet to be revealed.
On Thursday, Portnoy shared a message mourning her death.
“More sad news in Barstool Family,” he wrote.
“We suddenly lost Iga Obrycka this week. Iga basically ran our Bar group for us.

“If you ever went to Barstool Nashville you probably saw her there.
“I would have hired her for any position she wanted at our company because she was that smart and driven.
“Just incredibly sad news and another cruel reminder not to take a minute for granted. RIP Iga.”
Portnoy also shared Barstool Nashville’s post on Instagram and wrote another message about her.
“Really sad news in Barstool Family,” he wrote.
“Another cruel reminder to never take a day for granted. Iga will be sorely missed.”
Barstool Nashville’s tribute praised Obrycka’s leadership within the company.
“We lost the leader, heart, and soul of Barstool Nashville, Iga Obrycka,” the company said.
“Our heart goes out to her family, those that she was born into and those of us she chose to be in her life.
“There will never be another like her and she will be with us always.
“At the right time, we will hold a celebration of life that we hope she’ll look down on and smile, and you are all welcome.

Obrycka opened Barstool Nashville in 2023.
The company’s Instagram page gained 63,000 followers under her leadership.
USA Funeral Home’s obituary also said that she founded IGA, Inc.
“Her sudden passing created a deep empty space in every soul with whom she came in contact,” the obituary says.
“For so many, she had been much more than just a businesswoman, a very good friend, mentor, and lamp of kindness and generosity in their community.”
