BILLIONAIRE’S HELP?
Apple currently has 274 stores in total in the United States.
Some suspect the Apple Downtown Detroit will be located along Woodward Avenue, as it was teased in November 2023 by billionaire and entrepreneur, Dan Gilbert.
Gilbert said he’d been trying to get Apple to put a location in the central business district of the city for some time through his real estate company, Bedrock LLC.
“We’re getting close on Apple, but we’re not there yet — so don’t print that,” he noted while speaking at the Detroit Free Press “Breakfast Club” event.
OPENINGS CONTINUE
One of the most recent Apple Stores to open nationwide was the Apple Miami Worldcenter in Miami, Florida, per a news release.
It’s also located in the city’s downtown area and has a “biophilic design” surrounded by green spaces.
Inside, accessibility features like a “portable hearing loop” also help those customers who are hard of hearing or using hearing aids to shop with ease.
With its January 24, 2025, opening, it makes for the fifth Apple Store in Miami alone.
