Browns issues clear statement over Shedeur Sanders with fears he’ll be cut

THE Cleveland Browns still aren’t showing any faith in Shedeur Sanders.

Despite his strong debut performance in the preseason, Sanders is still at the bottom of the Browns’ pecking order.

Sanders showed off in his first bit NFL action, but it hasn’t earned him any extra love from the Browns.

In the team’s second depth chart of the preseason, Sanders remains firmly in last place among the team’s four quarterbacks.

The order of the Browns’ quarterbacks is Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and then Sanders.

Fans were absolutely baffled by the Browns’ decision, and shared their thoughts on social media.

“They need to investigate this organization,” one fan said.

“Put some respect on this man’s name,” another fan said.

“At least put him above Dillon Gabriel lmao,” a third fan said.

“Smh, Get Shedeur outta Cleveland,” a fourth fan said.

“Browns are such a trash organization bruh,” a fifth fan said.

In his first preseason game, Sanders completed 14 of his 23 pass attempts for 138 yards.

He passed for two touchdowns on the day, with his longest pass being for 30 yards.

“I’m comfortable with being uncomfortable, so that’s what it is,” Sanders said after the game.

“I got pockets of finding my rhythm, and I got to get into that quicker, regardless of anything.

“But overall, I felt like me out there, and I couldn’t do it, of course, without the time. I couldn’t do it without the play calling.

“I couldn’t do without anything.”

Despite his place on the depth chart, head coach Kevin Stefanski was impressed with Sanders’ debut.

“Pleased with Shedeur, pleased with the offense,” Stefanski said.

“Again, not perfect. Plenty that we can work on.

“But I thought the guys did a really nice job of Shedeur operating, the guys making plays.

“So again, a ton to teach on.”
