BUFFALO Bills fans are supporting a rival star after a playoff win.
Bills fans are keeping their reputation as the most charitable fans in the NFL.
Bills fans are known for donating to opposing players’ charities after injuries or other circumstances.
This time, they are splurging on Mark Andrews’ charity, Breakthrough T1D.
Andrews is a tight end for the Baltimore Ravens, and he had a heartbreaking sequence of plays to end the game against the Bills in the Divisional Round.
Andrews had a chance to tie the game in the dying seconds with a two-point conversion, but he dropped the ball.
He also fumbled earlier in the game that killed an opportunity for the Ravens to score.
It was a rough night for him, but Bills fans are looking to help him sleep easier by donating to his charity.
A Bills fan named Nicholas Howard organized a gofundme for Bills supporters to donate to Andrews’ cause.
“As many of you know Ravens TE wasn’t able to catch the the game tying 2 point conversion and upset Ravens fans,” the page reads.
“On top of that the TE has been receiving death threats and nasty comments atter his performance last night.
“We want Bills Mafia to donate to Marks charity for Juvenile diabetes.
“Let’s reach a goal of at least 5k. Please repost this!”
Bills fans smashed the initial goal, which sat at $3,000.
So far, fans have donated nearly $80,000 to Andrews’ charity, with the new goal sitting at $90,000.
NFL fans were blown away by this generosity and shared their thoughts on social media.
“Class fanbase. I’ll be very happy for Bills Mafia if the Bills win it all,” one fan said.
