OpenAI is making ChatGPT a wholesome experience for you! The tech giant has now introduced ChatGPT Group chat option, which will make it easier for you to collaborate with your friends, family or colleagues within the same conversation. It can be considered as an advanced option of the Meta AI in WhatsApp groups, where you can have a conversation with your friends in a group, as well as with Meta AI. Also Read: ChatGPT On UPI App? Now, having a group conversation with ChatGPT seems like a major step ahead. You can plan your outing with friends or even a group project with coworkers. And you don’t have to worry about the privacy of other private chats; those will not be shared by other people in the group conversation of ChatGPT, OpenAI said in the press release.
ChatGPT Group Chat: How To Use It
Once updated, starting a group conversation in ChatGPT is simple. Just follow these steps:
- Simply log in to ChatGPT and start a new conversation
- Here, you will find a new people icon in the top-right corner of the new or existing chat. Simply tap on it to add more people to the chat.
- When you add your first group conversation, it will ask for your name, username, and a photo to set up a short profile so everyone in the chat knows who you are.
- You can find the group conversations in a newly labelled section in the sidebar.
Once you add someone to your ChatGPT conversation, it will create a copy of your conversation as a new group chat. This will ensure that your original conversation stays separate.
ChatGPT Group Chats: When And Who Will Get It?
Group Chats in ChatGPT are rolling out on mobile and web for all logged-in users. The good part is that the feature will be available not only for the Go, Plus and Pro plan users, but for Free users too. However, the feature will be limited to Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and Taiwan. That means other countries’ users will have to wait a little longer.
