Samsung continues to lead the foldable smartphone market, and with the successful launch of its Galaxy S series, the tech giant appears to be setting the stage for its next big reveal. According to recent leaks we can soon expect the Galaxy Z 7 series lineup with two devices: the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
While Samsung has yet to confirm any official details, rumors suggest that both devices could be unveiled on July 23, 2025. If the reports are accurate, fans can expect significant upgrades, especially with the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The fold is said to feature upgrades in design, camera capabilities, and overall performance, continuing Samsung’s push to redefine the foldables.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 Expected Specifications
This time around, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumoured to receive a complete redesign. The foldable device is expected to adopt a more refined book-like form factor, measuring approximately 158.4 X 143.1 x 4.5mm when unfolded. That would make it 1.1mm slimmer than its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Alongside the slimmer profile, the Fold 7 could also feature a wider cover display for improved usability and retain a triple-camera setup housed in a familiar raised camera island.
Onleaks
In the camera department, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumored to feature a 200 MP main sensor, similar to the one found on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. If true, this would make it the first foldable from Samsung to sport such a powerful camera, marking a significant leap in the image quality. The rest of the camera setup is expected to remain the same with a 12 MP ultra-wide lens and a 10 MP telephoto sensor. The front camera is rumoured to get a 10 MP lens for the cover display, and a 4 MP under-display camera for selfies when the device is unfolded.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to pack the latest Snapdragon processor, although the exact chipset is still under wraps. As for pricing, early rumors hint that the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant could be priced around Rs 1,64,999 in India. Of course, nothing’s official yet, so take this with a pinch of salt.
Adding to the excitement, some reports suggest that Samsung might also unveil its long-awaited tri-fold smartphone in the July Unpacked event, potentially introducing an entirely new category to its foldable lineup.
