Samsung has recently launched its latest budget smartphone, while expanding the M-series — the Galaxy M17 5G. It comes as the successor of the Galaxy M16 5G, with several upgrades in terms of specifications and features. Starting today, the Samsung Galaxy M17 5G is available to buy as its first sale begins in India.

The Samsung Galaxy M17 5G comes in three storage variants, starting at Rs 12,499 for a 4GB RAM with 128GB storage. While the other variants are 6GB RAM with 128GB storage at Rs 13,999, and the top-end 8GB RAM with 128GB storage option for Rs 15,499.

At this price, the Galaxy M17 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 1100 nits of peak brightness. The front also gets protection from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and the phone gets an IP54 rating against dust and water splash. However, it gets a notch.
Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1330 chipset and packs a 5000mAh battery with 25W charging support. For photography, it features a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, a 5MP wide camera, and a 2MP Macro camera at the back. The front gets a 13MP selfie camera. It runs on OneUI 7 based on Android 15. Samsung also promises 6 years of OS updates and 6 years of security updates, which is rare to find in a budget phone.
