THE Kansas City Chiefs have ambitious plans for a new training facility.
The Chiefs may build a new facility that could cost upwards of $425 million.

The location of the new training facility is up in the air though.
This is due to the fact that the Chief are unsure of the future of their stadium.
The lease at Arrowhead Stadium is due to expire in 2031, and the team could move across state lines from Missouri to Kansas.
“It’s probably $250 to $450 [million] depending on what you’re going to do,” team president mark Donovan said.
“I mean, think about what Minnesota did, right? They built a brand-new training facility, and then they put… outside it a 5,000-seat stadium.
“Like if you did that, that’s a different number than if you just built new facilities.”
Renovating Arrowhead Stadium could cost the Chiefs $800 million.
However, building a new stadium for the Chiefs could cross $2 billion.
The new training facility has to fit into one of those budgets that the Chiefs agree to with local and state officials.
If the team moves to Kansas, the training facility could be in either state, according to Donovan.
However, if the stadium and training facility were to be connected it would require a move to a new state.
The Chiefs are also looking for more room for their ventures off the field, including a new studio for football entertainment.
“We’re just out of space right now,” Donovan said.
The Chiefs are playing in the Super Bowl for the fifth time in the Patrick Mahomes era on Sunday, and owner Clark Hunt is taking up a more public role in the team because of it.
Kansas City is looking to become one of the top brands in the NFL, and are modeling themselves off of the Dallas Cowboys.

That means getting Hunt in the public eye as much as Jerry Jones is.
Hunt is appearing on TV, meeting with reporters, and making himself available for Super Bowl opening night.
“Clark sees what Jerry’s doing, what Robert’s [Kraft] doing,” Donavan said.
“The challenge for us is like, how do we do that? It starts with little things, like every single Cowboys game, they show Jerry Jones in his suite, right?
“So why aren’t they showing Clark? So that’s a conversation.”
