CHILI’S has “taken another swing” at McDonald’s and Chick-fil-A after they unveiled a major menu change which includes “bottomless chips”.
The fast-casual giant made the bombshell shakeup amid growing “consumer frustration” with fast food prices – and also announced a pop-up.

The popular chain said that their iconic Big QP burger would be added to its 3 For Me menu.
And on April 16 and 17, an exclusive in-person pop-up experience will make a bold statement – by opening right next door to a McDonald’s.
The chain took their brave swipe at Ronald McDonald in their statement.
The pop-up will be named Chili’s Fast Food Financing.
The diner said: “Located next to a popular fast food restaurant, Chili’s Fast Food Financing was created with one mission in mind: to be the solution to the insanity of today’s outrageous fast food prices.”
They explained what the pop-up would be like.
Their statement read: “Guests will be welcomed into the immersive space where they will go through a process that simulates a financing store experience.
“Once ‘approved’, eligible guests will receive a gift card (while supplies last) to help offset the insane cost of a fast food combo meal.”
The chain added that guests would “then gain access to a Chili’s speakeasy where they can try the all-new Big QP burger with fries, bottomless chips and salsa, and a bottomless drink”.
This would allow diners “to see firsthand how Chili’s provides a better value than fast food”.
The temporary store will be located at 37 Union Square West New York, NY 10003.
Doors will stay open from 11am to 5pm local time on both days.
And with their new item shakeup, a spokesperson for the chain explained how adding the new Big QP burger to their iconic meal deal would change the fast food game.
From Tuesday, the Big QP will be available at Chili’s locations nationwide as part of the 3 For Me menu.
It features bottomless chips and salsa, an unlimited fountain drink and the Big QP with fries for $10.99.
Chili’s marketing officer George Felix said: “We believe Chili’s 3 For Me menu, starting at just $10.99, has been the best value in the industry since we introduced it in 2022.”
He added: “We just made it even better with the new Big QP burger, featuring a fast food flavor profile our guests will recognize.
“But for those times when you can’t get to a Chili’s and find yourself settling for the drive-thru, we opened Fast Food Financing to help customers in their time of need.”
The new Big QP burger comes with two slices of American cheese, mustard, ketchup, pickles, diced onions and 85% more beef than a Quarter Pounder with Cheese from McDonald’s, according to Chili’s.
The fast-casual diner also said that guests who are not in New York City during the pop-up’s short opening had another option.
Diners could also “get in on Fast Food Financing” with social media giveaways on X.
