At its AI Ecosystem Conference on Oct. 23, Honor Chairman Wu Hui said AI-powered intelligent agents will become “the next major interface for human-computer interaction,” adding that the company has invested over ¥10 billion ($1.37 billion) in AI R&D. Honor has officially repositioned itself from a smartphone maker to an AI-driven tech ecosystem company, outlining a three-phase roadmap spanning smart devices, connected ecosystems, and an intelligent world under its new “Alpha Strategy.”
Product Line President Fang Fei detailed the company’s 1×3×N framework — one open platform, three key enablers, and multiple industry clusters. Through its HONOR AI Connect platform, Honor will open its IoT platform with free device connectivity and zero licensing fees, and make its 3,000 physical retail stores available to partners for sales and customer experience. The company also plans to expand its AI ecosystem globally, with an initial focus on Europe and Southeast Asia. [IThome, in Chinese]
