KATY Perry’s space adventure continues to face scrutiny by conspiracy theorists who are now claiming to have spotted a fake hand during the Blue Origin launch.
The bizarre suggestion comes after an image inside the New Shepard capsule appears to show a prosthetic hand attached to a prone body – but not all is as it seems.

Dozens of online sleuths looking to debunk the all-female space trip on Monday started to share the picture on social media in recent days.
The image shows a Blue Origin space capsule on the ground in the Texas desert – much like when Perry returned to Earth after an 11 minute journey.
Inside one of the doors to the capsule a person can be seen sat in a seat with their knees bent up to their chest.
An odd looking right arm is down by their side with a very clear plastic hand on show.
This sent social media into a frenzy as people accused Jeff Bezos of sending mannequins to space rather then his fiancee Lauren Sanchez, Perry and four other women.
But the latest theory can be easily debunked.
Technically, those accusing Blue Origin of sending fake people into orbit are correct.
The image is a genuine picture which was taken in Texas following a successful test flight for a New Shepard capsule.
And the person inside is an actual mannequin – who was aptly named Mannequin Skywalker.
However, the image was taken in 2017 – eight whole years before pop icon Perry was shot into space.
The grounded capsule is from the first ever test flight of the New Shepard launched by Bezos – not the NS-31 mission used on Monday.
Mannequins were used for the first few tests just in case anything went wrong.
The dolls allowed the clever team of scientists and engineers to get the most accurate data back based around things like safety without having to risk human life.
Despite the real story behind the strange viral image being revealed, social media investigators have continued to comment on the picture.
One X user asked: “Why is there a dummy hand on the blue origin?”
As another speculated: “That sure looks like a mannequin, shiny hand.”
A third made their thoughts on the space trip clear as they shared the fake hand image and wrote: “Something is definitely wrong with the Blue Origin ‘Space Flight’ that Katy Perry was on.
“Social media users are asking, where are the re-entry burn marks? And why does that look like a fake hand?”

This isn’t the first time, strange conspiracies have been created around the Blue Origin mission.
A number of wild theories have emerged after an apparent gaffe was spotted in the landing video.
In the video, billionaire Bezos is seen wrenching open the hatch from the outside to let the all-women crew out of the craft.
However, footage from just minutes earlier clearly shows the capsule door is already open from the inside.
The two clips, which were quickly shared online, make it appear as if the door has been hastily shut.
Dozens of skeptics seized on the moment to claim the entire operation was staged.
What fueled these suspicions even more is the fact that the doors were seen opening inwards, unlike most spacecraft with pressurised cabins.
Typical spacecraft have doors that open outwards and require a team of technicians working from the outside to unlock them, especially after a trip to space.
Another odd debate online saw some people moan that the capsule was “too clean” to have genuinely flown into space.
It comes as several big celebs have also blasted Perry and her space crew for even going into space.
NFL Network star Jane Slater ripped the feat on social media as she labelled the trip “embarrassing”.
Pop legend Kesha also threw a subtle yet “iconic” jab at her enemy Perry.
The 38-year-old posted a photo of herself enjoying a Wendy’s milkshake with a sly smile – just hours after the fast food chain’s X account publicly ridiculed Perry.
Model Emily Ratajkowski also hit out at Perry and her fellow astronauts for promoting Blue Origin.
Ratajkowski claimed Bezos’ company is “single handedly destroying the planet” through their space missions.
Is Katy Perry technically an astronaut and who could be next in space?
NO, Katy Perry is not technically an astronaut, even though she went into space.
he Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and NASA have specific requirements and designations for astronauts, which the pop star did not fulfil.
While she flew on the Blue Origin New Shepard rocket and experienced space, she didn’t pilot the flight or fulfil other requirements.
Perry is considered a “space traveller” or “space tourist” rather than an astronaut.
Who could become the next celeb in space?
For the rich and famous, a trip into orbit is not only affordable but is now becoming more and more likely ever since Katy Perry’s visit.
The superstar singer was gifted a seat by Bezos as he continues to test out the Blue Origin capsules and promote his space company to the world.
This means getting to space is easier than ever for those who wish to fly away for a fleeting through minutes.
Several musicians, actors and top media personalities have already put their names in the hat for a potential space mission on day – including Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian and even Ivanka Trump.
