Today’s 9to5Toys Lunch Break is now ready to go. Alongside ongoing $100 price drops across the Apple Watch Series 11 lineup with deals from $299, we are also tracking a new Amazon all-time low on AirTag at $17 as well as a the 1TB iPhone 16 Pro Max at $611 off the original list courtesy of Amazon’s premium program. We also have a chance to score a 13-inch M5 iPad Pro 1TB cell model at nearly $400 off, iPad mini deals, and the best price to date on the Apple Crossbody Strap in black. Check it all out below.
AirTag just hit the Amazon all-time low at $17 – 41% less than AirTag 2
Apple has unleashed the new AirTag 2 with some meaningful, albeit not particularly exciting upgrades. It is now available at the same list prices as the previous model – one for $29 or four for $99, but Amazon is now offering some of the best prices to date on the original model starting at just $17 Prime shipped.
Amazon is now offering the original AirTag down at $17 with free shipping for Prime members or in orders over $35. That’s 41% off both its original $29 list price and the cost of a single AirTag 2. This is also the lowest price we have ever tracked for a single AirTag at Amazon.
The 4-pack of original AirTags is now marked down to $64 shipped. Regularly $99, much like the 4-piece bundle of the new model, this is 35% off the sticker price and the lowest price we can find. At 35% off, you’re looking at the lowest price we have tracked on Amazon outside of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2025 deals that had it down at $62.99.
While the new AirTag 2 might not come with some exciting new feature everyone is talking about, it does land with more than a few meaningful upgrades over the original, as detailed in our comparison piece right here.
Here are a few of the main differences:
- Second-gen Ultra Wideband chip
- Tracking 1.5x father away than original
- Apple Watch support
- 50% louder speaker
That’s good stuff for sure, but there are also a number of aspects to the experience that are exactly the same, including the same battery life, near identical design (outside of the literal fine print), and, of course, the MSRP. The new is clearly better, but if you’re a casual user, and perhaps need to pick up a few of them, the prices are much lower on the original right now.
AirTag 2 vs AirTag: Here’s everything new
Apple sells refurb iPhone 16 now, but Amazon’s renewed units are waaaay less – 16 Pro Max 1TB now $611 off
As you may have seen recently over at 9to5Mac, Apple has just started to offering refurbished iPhone 16 series devices in its online storefront. Thing is, you can score Amazon’s Renewed Premium units with a 1-year warranty for a whole lot less. This 1TB black titanium iPhone 16 Pro Max is now $611 off the original price at Amazon. Details below.
Amazon is now offering Renewed Premium iPhone 16 Pro Max units with 1TB of storage capacity down at $987.47 shipped. This is an unlocked unit that carried a $1,599 list price in brand new condition – it is within $2 or so of the lowest we have ever tracked on Amazon.
While Apple’s newly offered refurbished iPhone 16 Pro Max units are up for grabs, you can’t even get a 512GB at a price this low there. The 256GB model is $929 from Apple while the 512GB is $1,099 – it does not offer 1TB models at the time of writing.
Yes, they are coming straight from Apple and it doesn’t get anymore trustworthy than that, but Amazon’s Premium Renewed listings shipping from and by Amazon are easily the next best thing we have come across. And they are also dramatically less expensive than Apple.
Amazon Renewed Premium – the best way to score a deal on iPhone, now up to $880 off for Black Friday weekend
This 13-inch M5 iPad Pro 1TB cell model is nearly $400 off today (‘Excellent’ – refurb)
We have spotted a few chances to land some notable discounts on the latest M5 iPad Pro this week – you’ll find those below, but this morning we also spotted a chance to save nearly $400 on “excellent” condition refurbished units via Best Buy – this is the 1TB 13-inch cell model.
Over at Best Buy you’ll find the well known Networkstore selling the silver 13-inch M5 iPad Pro with 1TB of storage and the cell upgrade down at $1,699.97 shipped. This refurbished unit carries a $2,099 list price brand new and is now just shy of $400 off.
Yes this is a refurbished unit, but considering how pricey these M5 iPad Pro machines can be, we wanted to at least make sure this option was on the table for folks looking to keep an extra $399 in their pocket.
This model, while currently up at full price on Amazon right now, has seen some deals in new condition, but nothing quite like we have here today. The Space Black or Silver variants have never dropped below $1,943 at Amazon.
These refurbished units are covered under the Best Buy Return & Exchange Policy should have any issues and, according to the listing in question, ships with a “Apple One (1) Year Limited Warranty.”
Today’s accessories and charging deals:
Latest iPad mini now $100 off, all colors on most affordable model drop to $399
We spotted some select iPad mini configurations at $99 off via Amazon earlier this week, and while some of the upgraded storage configurations are now longer live, all colors of the most affordable model are now $100 off.
Amazon is now offering Apple’s latest 128GB iPad mini 7 down at $399 shipped. This includes all four colorways: Blue, Purple, Space Gray, and Starlight.
Regularly $499, this is a straight up $100 price drop and, outside of a brief offer at $390 on the blue model, on par with the lowest price of the year.
Today’s deal is on par with the price we spotted for Black Friday 2025. There have been a few chances to land these machines at $120 off, largely during Prime Day events, as well as an extremely brief all-time low at $150 off, but that was a very short-lived offer on Cyber Monday that barely lasted the full 24 hours.
As mentioned above, some colorways with the 256GB storage capacity have now jumped up in price, but there are $100 price drops elsewhere in the lineup still live as of the time of writing:
Big-time $300 price drops hit Apple’s latest M5 MacBook Pro: 24GB and 32GB models
This week is ushering in the best prices we have tracked to date on Apple’s latest M5 MacBook Pro lineup. Led by a series of $300 price drops over at B&H on select configurations, we are looking at prices that undercut just about all of the deals we spotted over the Black Friday deal season, Amazon included.
Alongside the 24GB model with the 512GB SSD you see in the list below that we featured yesterday, there are also a pair of upgraded models with 32GB RAM setups now sitting at $300 under the list price at Apple and elsewhere:
It is worth pointing out that while Amazon is offering as much as $200 off the configurations it carries, it does not offer any of these particular setups – there are no 32GB models available at Amazon and the only 24GB setup is much more pricey with a 1TB SSD.
This is where B&H really shines when it comes to MacBook. It offers seriously great deals on configs that you would normally have to go straight to Apple for in many cases. While retailers like Amazon tend to remain entirely competitive and often times have lower prices on the configs they carry, these are deals you just won’t get there.
That said, Amazon’s M5 MacBook deals have thus far maxed out at $250 off – this is the deal we featured during the holidays at the end of 2025. And that leaves the B&H offers up for grabs right now some of, if not, the very best we have tracked if you’re into these RAM/storage packages.
