It’s a big week for Netflix, with a solid slate of new content for subscribers to stream. The best anime adaptation it’s made to date gets a second series, plus a Spielberg-produced dino documentary and a deep dive into the manosphere. Every week, I go through the catalog to pick out new material that’s worth your time; here’s what you should stream the second week of March.
This Week on Netflix: PCMag’s Picks
The Dinosaurs (March 6)
Will we ever stop being fascinated by the giant lizards that ruled the Earth before the age of mammals? Not with documentaries like The Dinosaurs on the scene. From Silverback Films and Amblin Entertainment, executive produced by Steven Spielberg, this is a big-budget series that covers over 165 million years in four episodes, from the Triassic period to their extinction at the end of the Cretaceous, using cutting-edge effects, the latest scientific knowledge, and masterful storytelling.

One Piece: Season 2 (March 10)
Live-action anime adaptations are a risky play, and Netflix has way more misses than hits. That’s why we were so surprised that 2023’s One Piece series worked so well. The wacky characters and stretchy action of the franchise were capably brought to life in a candy-colored world, and it was renewed for a second season almost immediately. Now it’s here, with self-styled king of pirates Monkey D. Luffy continuing his quest for treasure, this time butting heads with Marine Captain Smoker and his crew as he enters the Grand Line.
Louis Theroux: Inside the Manosphere (March 11)
British documentarian Louis Theroux has a real knack for getting himself in situations, and his latest film embeds him deep in the repugnant online world of the Manosphere, populated by weird-looking men who make money by telling other weird-looking men that they’re being men wrong. Inside The Manosphere is guaranteed to be a hoot.
