Disney Plus price: how much does each plan cost?
Disney+ plans
There are three Disney+ plans in the UK, including Standard with Ads, Standard (without ads) and Premium. US users have just two options – Standard with Ads (or Basic) and Premium.
Disney+ Standard with Ads (or Basic): $9.99 / £4.99 a month
Disney+ Standard: £8.99 a month (£89.90 annually)
Disney+ Premium: $15.99 / £12.99 a month (or $159.99 / £129.90 annually)
Extra member
Disney has followed Netflix’s lead on tackling password sharing by introducing an extra member fee for existing account holders.
If you want to share your password with family or friends outside of your household, you’ll need to pay an additional price per person on top of your usual monthly subscription. This fee allows the extra member to access the same content and many of the same features as the account holder, though the extra member can only access one profile and stream on one device at a time.
Disney+ Standard with Ads: $6.99 / £3.99 a month
Disney+ Standard: £4.99 a month
Disney+ Premium: $9.99 / £4.99 a month
Bundles (US only)
US subscribers can also choose to bundle Disney+ with other Disney-owned streaming platforms, including Hulu, ESPN+ and Max.
The Duo packages include Disney+ and Hulu, while the Trio plans include Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+. There are also ‘Disney+, Hulu, Max Bundle’ plans which include Disney+, Hulu and Max (formerly HBO Max).
Duo Basic with Ads: $10.99 a month
Duo Premium: $19.99 a month
Trio Basic with Ads: $16.99 a month
Trio Premium: $26.99 a month
Disney+, Hulu, Max Bundle with Ads: $16.99 a month
Disney+, Hulu, Max Bundle No Ads: $29.99 a month
Which Disney+ subscription plan is right for you?
With multiple options to choose from, you might be stuck on which plan is right for you. Keep reading to learn how the three main Disney+ tiers compare.
Disney+ Standard with Ads
Also known as Basic in the US, Disney+ Standard with Ads is Disney’s cheapest plan and the only one of the three supported by ads.
This tier allows you to stream 1080p Full HD video with 5.1 audio on up to two devices at a time. There’s no downloading content with this plan, however, so you can’t watch movies offline.

Disney+ offers access to loads of original shows like The Mandalorian and Hawkeye, classic films and content from big brands like Star Wars, Marvel and Pixar.

Disney+ Standard
The Disney+ Standard plan offers the same streaming quality as the ad-supported tier, but with no ads and the ability to download content for watching offline.
This means you can watch TV and movies in up to 1080p Full HD with 5.1 audio and stream on two devices at a time. You can also download content for later on up to 10 devices, making this plan ideal if you fly often without Wi-Fi or have a low mobile data allowance.
Disney+ Premium
Finally, there’s the Premium plan. This tier allows you to stream in up to 4K UHD quality with HDR and watch on up to four devices at a time, making it ideal for families. You also get immersive sound on compatible devices with the help of Dolby Atmos.
You can download content on up to 10 devices at a time and, of course, the Premium tier comes ad-free.
