Shenzhen-based robotics company Dobot on Monday launched the Rover X1, the company’s first intelligent robot dog designed for household use. Priced at RMB 7,499 ($1,030), the Rover X1 breaks the mold of traditional consumer-grade robots by integrating industrial-level technology into everyday settings. Equipped with a dual-vision tracking system, the Rover X1 can sense its environment in real time and make autonomous decisions. Its hybrid wheel-leg design and smart load-bearing capability enable stable movement across varied terrains—including smooth floors, grass, and inclines—while carrying household items. The Rover X1 is built for versatility, offering features such as outdoor adventure filming, home security patrol, coding education, and emotional companionship, positioning it as a multifunctional smart assistant for modern homes.
