On January 24 at 9:10 p.m., TF1 will broadcast Thank you Dorothéea tribute show dedicated to Frédérique Hoschedé, known to all as Dorothée. Now aged 71, the woman who marked the history of children’s television will host this exceptional evening alongside Nikos Aliagas. This program will look back on his 30-year television and musical career, from his beginnings in Recreation A2 on Antenne 2 (which became France 2) until the emblematic period of Dorothée Clubbroadcast from 1987 to 1997 on TF1.
Nostalgia evening
Archive images will allow viewers to relive the highlights of this era, but also to discover new content. Dorothée will even unveil a brand new song, a gift for her lifelong fans.
To celebrate this true living legend of the small screen, TF1 will bring together an impressive cast. Current stars and former traveling companions will be present to share their memories and express their admiration. Julien Doré, Nolwenn Leroy, Lorie and even Zabou Breitman, who herself co-hosted Recreation A2will bear witness to Dorothée’s impact on several generations.
The elders of Dorothée Clublike Jacky and Patrick Simpson-Jones, as well as the emblematic figures of the sitcoms produced by AB Productions, like Hélène Rollès and the actors of Mysteries of Lovewill also be there.
The show will also be an opportunity to hear covers of Dorothée’s greatest hits and surprises to celebrate her spectacular performances. With more than 20 million records sold, record performances at the Zénith and Bercy, as well as a 7 d’or and a Victoire de la Musique to her credit, the presenter remains an essential figure in French pop culture.
Beyond the songs and shows, the Dorothée Club marked the history of television by massively introducing Japanese cartoons to France, long before they became mainstream. If some programs, like Ken the survivorsparked controversy for their violence, they also laid the foundations for a new era for animation.
This TV event will allow millions of French people to immerse themselves in memories of a bygone era, when afternoons were punctuated by songs, sketches and animated adventures.
