Fastly has updated its bot management toolwhich will now incorporate three functions aimed at facilitating organizations and companies Defense against Scraping, Accounts Control and Spam. With them, Fastly has developed a system so that companies that want to protect themselves from these inconveniences can eliminate the use of captchas, due to the annoyance they suppose for users.
The renovation of the company’s Bot management tool, in addition to allowing the captchas to be left behind, is responsible for preventing fraud, protecting customer accounts and allowing legitimate users to complete session latest and purchase processing without interruptions.
This is possible thanks to the new functions of Bot Management: Dynamic Challenges, Advanced Client-Side Detefction and Credential Compastered Ceccking. The first, which can be called in Spanish dynamic challenges, adjusts the way organizations validate traffic without depending on the captcha. To do this, perform a real -time analysis of characteristics of the client and server.
This tool applies the less intrusive verification method for legitimate users, while increasing the difficulty for bots. Verified users through Private Access Tokens (PATS) will have a fluid login and without challenges. Known bots will have to face more complex interactive challenges, and the rest of the traffic goes through a non -interactive verification that maintains security but without affecting the user’s experience. When adopting the protections automatically, Dynamic Challenges prevents security equipment from having to choose threats or maintain the end user experience.
Advanced Client-Side Detection allows you to identify advanced bots that are passed through legitimate traffic. This function, with only a JavaScript code line allows you to identify and block these sophisticated bots before they cause damage. Its light implementation allows to protect without affecting performance and offers security equipment immediate visibility of the threats detected.
Finally, CREDENTIAL COMPLISSED CECKING helps companies combat attacks for appropriation of accounts and theft of credentials. Cybercriminals take advantage of stolen credentials in databases and compromised bases to access without authorization to user accounts. Now, Bot Management automatically analyzes the login and registration attempts by comparing them with compromised credential databases.
In this way, Fastly adds a critical intelligence layer to safety decision making. When a coincidence with these bases is detected, security equipment receives real -time alerts so that they can react quickly and without generating problems with legitimate users.
