SHOPPERS hoping to get last-minute gifts on Christmas Day may be in luck this year, with a number of shops remaining open on the holidays.
Three stores will be open on Christmas Day, including Walgreens, CVS and Starbucks.
But with a limited selection of gifts, shoppers will need to get creative and make do with what’s available.
Last minute gift ideas from pharmacies including Walgreens and CVS include makeup bundles or even a simple gift card.
From Starbucks, shoppers may purchase a coffee bundle or a festive specialty cup to give to their loved ones on the special day.
However, shoppers will need to check each individual store as opening hours may differ by location.

Walgreens in October announced they would shut down for Thanksgiving to give their workers a break and time to relax, but would remain open over Christmas.
Tracey D. Brown, the president of the drugstore chain, has explained the decision behind the closures.
“This is just one of the ways we’re acknowledging the dedication of our store team members, pharmacists, and pharmacy techs who tirelessly deliver incredible service and patient care every single day,” she said in October.
CVS pharmacies will also be open on Christmas day, however some locations may have reduced hours.
Shoppers are urged to check their local pharmacy’s website to check the opening hours on Christmas Day.
By comparison, Rite Aid will not be open on Christmas Day.
For coffee lovers still hoping to get a quick caffeine fix on Chritmas Day may be in luck with Starbucks opening on Christmas.
However, there is a catch to it with not every location opening and not every cafe operating at the same hours.
For example, Starbucks at Penn Station in New York city will be open from 6.30am to 9pm on Christmas Day.
Dunkin Donuts will also be opening at select locations but potentially at reduced hours.
It is worth checking the individual location to see operating hours.
CVS, Starbucks, Walgreens and Dunkin Donuts may be some of the very few stores open on Christmas Day for last minute shopping.
Walmart will shutter all of its locations for 24 hours on Christmas Day, enabling workers to spend time with their families.
While Walmart’s 4,606 locations nationwide will still open at the normal time of 6 AM on Christmas Eve, they will close early at 6 PM.
Although it can vary by location and state, typical Walmart business hours are 6 AM to 11 PM.
That means shopping time will be cut by a whopping five hours.
Target is also closing its 1,963 stores for the entire day on December 25.
It will also feature limited store hours on Christmas Eve from 7 AM to 8 PM but could vary by state and store.
