AMAZON FIRE Stick users are finally getting a major upgrade, and it’s completely free.
In a surprise update, ten brand new channels have been added to Fire TV devices, making it easier than ever for Brits to watch their favourite shows without paying for costly subscriptions.

The update means viewers can now stream all of the BBC’s main channels live, something Fire Stick has been missing for years.
It brings Fire TV’s free service closer in line with paid rivals like Sky Stream and Virgin Media Stream, as well as Freely, Freeview’s new internet-based platform, which only works on new TVs.
Unlike Freely, which requires a TV with the tech built in, Fire TV users can access the new live channels straight away using their existing plug-in stick.
Here’s the full list of new BBC channels now available live on Fire TV devices:
- BBC One
- BBC Two
- BBC Three
- BBC Four
- CBBC
- CBeebies
- BBC News
- BBC Scotland
- BBC Parliament
- BBC Alba
This means users can now jump into live BBC content directly from the Fire TV’s “Live” tab, no app hopping required.
You’ll see what’s currently showing on each channel, plus a thumbnail preview and programme description.
There’s even an option to set favourites for quicker access.
The update finally fills a big gap in Fire Stick’s free offering, though it still doesn’t match the full range of channels found on services like Sky or Virgin.
There’s also no ability to rewind or catch up on past programmes from the Live tab, for that you’ll still need to head to BBC IPlayer.
