Fwupd 2.0.7 brings the newest plug-ins and expanded hardware support for being able to update a variety of system and device/peripheral firmware under Linux.
Richard Hughes of Red Hat just released Fwupd 2.0.7 that introduces new plug-ins for being able to carry out firmware updates on B&R DisplayPort receivers and Intel CVS cameras. There is also a new Fwupd plug-in to be used for verifying UEFI memory protection attributes. There is also support added for a proprietary HPE Redfish firmware push method.
Fwupd 2.0.7 also adds support for cabinet archives greater than 2GB, support for showing SBOM release URLs, and support for the UEFI capsule installation in the bootloader. Plus a variety of bug fixes in Fwupd 2.0.7 to take care of different problems.
Fwupd 2.0.7 adds hardware support for another HP wireless dongle, the Lenovo ThinkPad Thunderbolt 4 Smart Dock Gen2, the Lenovo USB-C Dual Display Travel Dock, and additional EDL 5G modem devices.
