Buying the bundle means you can cover the key things you leave the house with every day, rather than choosing just one.
An AirTag is designed to slot straight into Apple’s ecosystem. Setup is simple: a single tap connects each tag to your iPhone or iPad, after which everything lives in the Find My app alongside your other Apple devices. From there, you can see where your tagged items are at a glance.
If something goes missing nearby, you can play a sound on the built-in speaker or ask Siri to help locate it. With a compatible iPhone (11 or later), Precision Finding uses Ultra Wideband to guide you directly to the AirTag with on-screen directions, which is especially handy for finding keys down the side of the sofa or a bag left in another room.
For items that go further afield, the Find My network steps in. AirTag can tap into the location data of hundreds of millions of Apple devices, anonymously and in an encrypted way, to update where your item was last seen. You can also put an AirTag into Lost Mode so you receive a notification when it is detected by the network.
Apple leans heavily on privacy here. All communication with the Find My network is anonymous and encrypted, and location data and history are never stored on the AirTag itself. The tracker uses a replaceable battery that lasts over a year and carries an IP67 water and dust resistance rating, so it can handle everyday spills and rough treatment in a bag.
In terms of compatibility, AirTag works with iPhone SE, iPhone 6s or later, iPod touch (7th generation) with iOS 14.5 or later, and iPad models from iPad (5th gen), iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4 and iPad Pro running iPadOS 14.5 or later.
