Get Into Dell’s Best Presidents’ Day Deals and Win Big Discounts on Desktops, Laptops, Monitors, and More

How’s your three-day weekend going? It’s about to get better if you’re shopping for a new PC, because Dell, has dropped impressive discounts on desktops, monitors, and laptops that we reviewed and raved over. Whether you’re looking for a budget portable PC to work on the road, or a super-powerful gaming machine that smashes 4K framerates, they’ve got it. Here are the top holiday deals on Dell hardware to save you big.

Dell Laptop Deals

For a solid big-screen laptop at a nice price, the Dell 16 Plus is a winner. In our review, laptop expert Charles Jefferies said that this portable was “a commendable mainstream value in its base model, with a sharp, colorful screen and long battery life.” While it’s a bit heavy for its size, it makes up for it in smooth, reliable operation, and an attractive 120Hz screen with good color quality and brightness. The eight-core Intel Core Ultra 7 256V system-on-a-chip also benchmarked well in our tests. At retail, this wouldn’t be a spectacular bargain, but this 41% discount makes it very attractive.

We declared the 14 Plus was the best Dell laptop for most people in our line-wide rundown, impressed by its premium metal build, comfy and responsive keyboard, and solid selection of ports. In our full review, writer Charles Jefferies declared it “a smart alternative to some leading mainstream models,” with great connectivity, sufficient performance, and spectacular battery life. If you want to cut prices even further, you can reduce RAM to 16GB and storage to 512GB, but with component costs where they are now, it’s a steal to get this loadout at this price.

We gave an “Excellent” rating to a build of this PC that swapped in an ARM-based Snapdragon CPU, and the main difference here is Intel silicon instead. You can read our full review for the details, but the high notes are a charmingly slim and lightweight design, a seamless touchpad that’s responsive and durable, and a crisp, bright screen. The keyboard is fully backlit as well, but because this is a smaller form factor it can feel a little cramped. Our only other big complaint was the lack of ports, but it’s nothing a cheap USB-C hub can’t fix.

Midrange gaming laptops should aim for a sweet spot, delivering current-generation performance at discounted prices. One of the best options on the market right now is the Alienware 16X Aurora, which delivers solid performance in a well-built chassis for just under $1,500 on sale. In our review of this model, we gave it an “Excellent” rating, thanks to its crystal-clear 240Hz display, impressive port selection, and thoughtful components, including a peppy Core Ultra 9 processor and a Blackwell-series RTX 5060 graphics card that’s well-suited to the machine’s WQXGA resolution. There are a bunch of different Aurora configurations on sale, but this one is our top pick.

Dell Desktop Deals

There’s something comforting about a Dell desktop tower. They’ve been ubiquitous in homes and offices for decades, whirring away and delivering reliable performance for good prices. The latest base model Dell Tower Desktop is no exception. There are no surprises here, but when you compare it to the entries on our best cheap desktops list, you’ll see it’s highly competitive at this discount.

A peppy Core Ultra 5 processor, decent RAM and storage, hassle-free connectivity including support for up to four monitors and eight USB ports, and Wi-Fi 6 add up to a great value, especially when you throw in a wired keyboard and mouse for free.

It’s not cheap, but if you want high-quality performance on all of today’s popular games, you’re going to have to bite the bullet. Dell’s making it a bit easier with a $450 discount on the spectacular Alienware Area-51 tower. We gave this battlestation an “Excellent” rating in our review, impressed by its sleek and futuristic design with a huge tempered glass side panel, whisper-silent cooling thanks to a positive pressure airflow system that’s massively efficient, and quality of life improvements on the inside, including QR codes that give you information and tutorials for repairs and upgrades. This build comes with a solid RTX 5070 graphics card and 32GB of DDR5 RAM.

All-in-ones are good options for households that have multiple PC users, as they’re simple to set up and cover a lot of bases at a low price. Although the internal components of this Dell model won’t win any awards, it’s still a really good value. In our review, we were impressed by some unexpected features at the price point, including a wireless keyboard and mouse, surprisingly sharp and colorful webcam, and well-considered port selection. If you do want to boost the processor and RAM, there are a few other configurations on sale as well.

Dell Monitor Deals

It’s not the biggest screen out there, but there’s a reason we gave this monitor an Editors’ Choice award in our review. If you play games that test your reflexes to the max, you need a refresh rate that blazes by with no hiccups or glitches, and the 280Hz speed of this display delivers. Compatibility with all three of the industry’s most popular variable refresh rate systems is also super-rare in a monitor at this price. It doesn’t make any sacrifices for image quality to run that fast, with a wide color gamut, deep blacks and contrast, and spectacular clarity. It is a bit short on ports, but those are a luxury, not a requirement. Snag $50 off during the sale.

It’s not the biggest discount, but taking $40 off of a really solid monitor we gave an “Excellent” rating to in our review is worth noting. Senior writer Tony Hoffman said that this was one of the best productivity monitors on the market, because it “packs in the ports, offers great ergonomics, and has a screen with superb image quality.” Connectivity is a big draw for this model, with multiple USB, Ethernet, HDMI, and DisplayPort connections. If you burn the midnight oil, this monitor is TÜV certified at four stars, and ergonomic adjustments let you fine-tune angle and height.
