Google has introduced new features for the Gemini application. The new features of the app allow the users to get advanced aid in research, brainstorming, and generating content. And now, Gemini offers real-time document editing and prototype creation. Dubbed Canvas, the feature lets the users write and edit documents or code with all the changes making their way in real-time. Google Head Sundar Pichai announced the debut of Canvas and Audio overview feature to Gemini.
Pichai said in his statement that the company has introduced Canvas and welcomes Audio Overview or create a doc or even a coding project with Canvas. The post by Google CEO also had a slip that shows how the new features will be seen in the Gemini application. He concluded his statement by saying that Canvas is available for all users and Audio Overview will start rolling out in English with more languages on the way.
Google Gemini’s new features
Canvas in Gemini will work as an interactive tool for refining, sharing, and creating work. It also lets the users write and edit documents and codes in real-time, apply quick edits, and generate drafts. And the best part is that the data can be easily exported to Google Docs. The Gemini app will enhance programming by supporting code generation, explanation, and debugging. Canvas manages coding and it can also help learn coding concepts and more.
As for Audio Overview, it converts documents, slides, and Deep Research reports into podcast-style discussions. Gemini will be able to generate conversations between two AI hosts who summarise content, draw connections, and even offer unique insights.
