Google brought the Circle to Search for the masses and since then the feature has blown up. While the majority of Android phones had the feature, the iPhone users were left out. But now, after taking this into consideration, Google has finally launched the feature with a different name, ‘Search Screen with Google Lens’. The functioning of the feature is similar to that of the Android version.
Search Screen with Google Lens feature details
Google has taken it to an official blog to announce the launch of the mentioned feature. All iPhone users will be able to search for anything on their screen by drawing, highlighting, or even tapping on it. The feature also works when the users are reading an article, watching a video, or shopping for a product. The users will be able to instantly trigger a visual search while browsing, eradicating the need to take a screenshot and then search manually later.
However, the main catch here is that the Search Screen with Google Lens feature will only work on the Chrome and Google apps available on the Apple App Store. And it will not work over the entire phone like we get to see on Android devices. As for its working, in the Chrome or Google app, you have to tap on the three-dot menu available at the top right corner. After that, select the Search Screen with the Google Lens option. Once done, you will be able to highlight what you want and then initiate a search for it.
The feature is being rolled out this week and it will be available for both Google and Chrome apps. Google has also confirmed that it will bring the Google Lens icon to the address bar on Chrome in new future.
