Popular game might delay release to avoid clash with GTA 6
Battlefield video game franchise might delay its release to avoid competing with GTA 6.
Game developers are holding their breath for the launch date announcement of the most anticipated game in the world.
EA plans to drop Battlefield before April 2026 which falls into the same financial year as release of GTA 6.
During the earnings call, EA CEO Andrew Wilson admitted that he’s willing to move dates due to ‘nuanced’ competition.
Wilson said: “I do believe that this year might be a nuanced year relative to competition. There may be some things happening in the year that may cause us to think differently about our launch timing. We have an FY 26 launch window that the team is targeting.
“We believe the game will be great and ready at that time, but if we got close to that timeframe and believed that this wasn’t going to be a great window for us, then we would take a look at what an alternate window might be that would give us the appropriate time, energy, and player acquisition opportunity for this Battlefield to be all that it needed to be.”
Turkish fans petition for inclusion in GTA 6
Turkish fans have started a campaign to add Turkish language support in GTA 6.
It’s uncertain what languages will be available to gamers in the upcoming release.
However, GTA 5 is available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Polish, Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish and Korean.
However, the voiceover of the game is only done in English.
Easter eggs in GTA 6 trailer
With barely any updates on GTA 6 and 12 years of anticipation, fans of the game dissected every part of the trailer and found some Easter eggs.
No GTA trailer would be fit without cars of course but there was one in particular that caught people’s attention.
At the 33-second mark, fans spotted a very familiar yellow vehicle parked along the road at the back – and gamers believe this could be a revamped take on the same car used in Vice City to spawn in the same location.
Fans will be very aware of GTA’s fictional drink which is advertised throughout previous games.
Well, eagle-eyed trailer watchers saw it featured once again, except this time it’s got a “Nein” added onto it (German for “No”), seemingly indicating a zero alcohol version of the drink is now available.
You might have also noticed one door notice amusingly warns customers it can “no longer accept cash stored in underwear”.
