With the acquisition, HCI wants to acquire a leading position in the software market for physiotherapy. SpotOnMedics, founded in 2011, offers an all-in-one platform with which physiotherapists can manage their practice processes. The intention is that SpotOnMedics will remain independent after the acquisition with the current team from its own office in Hoofddorp.
Merge products
In the long term, the functions of the various HCI products will be combined into one powerful platform for paramedics. According to HCI, after the acquisition, a quarter of the paramedics in the Netherlands will be supported. “By combining the strengths of the various HCI solutions, the best software will become available to an even larger group of professionals and clients,” says Marc Prette, CEO of HCI. “This way, we can make an even greater impact in making healthcare easier and better.”
Innovations
Geert van den Enden, director of SpotOnMedics, also sees a bright future. “New laws and regulations and new forms of cooperation around the client are constantly placing new demands on software and innovation. With HCI as a partner, we can implement our innovations more quickly and serve the paramedical market even better.”
VvAA
VvAA, a cross-professional collective of over 130,000 healthcare professionals, explains the sale of SpotOnMedics through CFRO Miranda Hendriks: “Because SpotOnMedics is a software company at its core, there was less synergy with our products and services. That is why we decided to sell SpotOnMedics.”
