Chinese LiDAR firm Hesai Technology today announced it has signed a contract worth over $40 million with a major US Robotaxi company. Under the agreement, Hesai will serve as the exclusive supplier, providing its full range of long-range and short-range LiDAR products, with deliveries scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. Data from Yole Group shows Hesai led the global L4 autonomous driving LiDAR market in 2024 with a 61% market share. “Our technological edge will continue to support the large-scale deployment of autonomous fleets and accelerate the commercialization of self-driving,” said Hesai CEO Yifan Li.
