Hitachi Vantara, Hitachi subsidiary, and BMC Software They have decided Collaborate in innovation and optimization in Mainframe and Open Systems environments. This collaboration will integrate Hitachi’s advanced storage platforms with BMC software solutions.
The collaboration of these two companies will improve the operational capabilities of the companies in terms of hybrid cloud environments, since they can have a set of solutions specifically designed for it. Thus, the combination of the AMI BMC software portfolio with the Storage Platform One E Hitachi Content Platform virtual storage platform will offer functions for the optimization of operations in Mainframes, in addition to allowing operating cost reduction.
Customers of these systems will have cost reduction possibilities thanks to the optimization of the use of resources and a lower dependence on inherited systems. They will also have advanced security features, among which are the detection of threats in real time and a robust encryption.
The improved automation tools offered by simplifying workflows and minimizing manual tasks, and open systems tools allow to transform and analyze mainframe data to improve decision making. This alliance also allows you to optimize IT infrastructure, with a reduction in complexity and costs associated with having to manage several suppliers.
Among the main components of the BMC Ami Product portfolio is BMC Ami Cloud, which is responsible for integration with HCP to optimize secondary storage costs in Mainframe, increase scalability and simplify complexity. BMC Ami Security also, an advanced security solution with real -time threat detection, focused on zero trust, and with immutable backups.
Another of the tools of this portfolio is BMC Ami OPS, a package of automation tools with integrated for improvement of efficiency and operational management. As for BMC AMI Devx, they are solutions to develop, test, modernize and deploy using Devops methodologies.
Greg Bucyk, Vice President of Strategic Partners and Alliances of Hitachi Vantarastressed that «By establishing this strategic alliance with BMC, we are responding to the changing demands of hybrid cloud solutions and supporting our clients’ trip towards innovation. This collaboration allows organizations to maximize the value of their data, turning challenges in opportunities for sustainable growth and improved operational efficiency«.
By BMC has been John McKenny, his vice president and general responsible for optimization and transformation of Intelligent Zwho has commented that «This alliance allows to offer innovative and practical solutions that help companies maximize the value of their data. Hitachi’s leading data infrastructure«.
