HOME Depot is selling a spacious tiny home that can be turned into whatever customers require of it.
The versatile build can be used as a workspace, pool house, or main property for those making the move to miniature living.
With a price tag of $41,699 on Home Depot’s website, the Metra Log Cabin Kit from Hud-1 EZ Buildings is quite the investment.
It’s designed with hand-crafted wood and comes with European-style double windows and French-style double doors, along with a vaulted ceiling design.
Not to mention, it’s effectively two stories with a loft area.
The main living space sits at 16 feet by 24 feet, and the loft is 16 feet by 11 feet and nine inches, making for a total square footage of 560.
That’s the size of many one-bedroom or studio apartments and is still spacious enough for a functioning kitchen and dining area on the main level.
On the outside, customers can expect tongue-groove roof deck boards and beige coloring on the outer wooden walls.
Floor materials are also included, and one of the only things interested tiny homeowners will need that Home Depot doesn’t supply with the purchase is a foundation.
Roofing shingles are also sold separately, along with the plumbing and supplies to make the sink and potential bathroom inside operational.
INTERIOR CUSTOMIZATION
It’s important to note that those who order the $41,699 tiny home get an “open room” design, meaning that “the interior would be at the discretion of each individual.”
That means if a customer wanted it to be a workspace, they’d customize the interior of the tiny home with the necessities for that.
Additionally, as a pool house, they’d need to buy the supplies for the bedroom, sink, plumbing, etc.
Those additions can be made after the space is completely assembled.
While Home Depot customers can order the tiny home for delivery to their door, they can also get it installed and assembled through Hud-1 EZ Buildings if they live in select locations.
Otherwise, they can do it themselves or hire local builders to complete it for them.

MORE OPTIONS
Amazon also sells attractive tiny homes for around the same price.
A $29,999 option with two stories is catching a lot of attention from shoppers, with some calling the quality “outstanding.”
Not only that but the “weather-resistant” space can supposedly be fully assembled with five people in under 30 minutes.
The e-commerce giant also sells a cabin kit of its own for only $8,164 that customers have called “spacious” and “great for family parties.”
It’s called the Allwood Escape Cabin and has a square footage of 108 for use as an additional guest bedroom or home office.
Assembly takes a little longer, with the sellers recommending four full days of work for adults.
However, “minimal tools” are required to put it together.
Walmart is also selling a tiny home on wheels for $21,888 with a fully loaded bathroom.
Another Walmart design with floor-to-ceiling windows is just $17,400.
