A HOME Depot shopper has been furious and confused after a baffling delivery error.
They accused the retailer of incorrectly dropping off pallets of sand at their house in no small amount.

The affected customer, Angel Orlando (@angeljorlando), claimed in a video on TikTok earlier this month that around 3,000 pounds of it had been placed on her driveway.
Not only did Angel allegedly never order the sand, but she said The Home Depot had refused to take it away.
Three pallets were visible in the clip, with The Home Depot logo in the plastic bags holding each pile.
“So, Home Depot decided to drop off 3,000 pounds of sand to the wrong unit,” Angel fumed.
“They’re refusing to come pick it up, it’s been in front of my garage since…about 1:00 pm.”
Angel claimed she contacted her local Home Depot store and the corporate office, but both still “refused” to come get the sand.
“Somebody help,” she exclaimed.
Angel’s post quickly went viral, garnering over 31,000 likes and 2,800 comments from fellow customers suggesting routes she could take to get the 3,000 pounds of sand out of there.
TAKING ACTION
A former employee with the Home Depot customer service department recommended that Angel inform them that the situation prevented her from using her car.
“As someone who worked for their online customer service, let them know that they have your only vehicle blocked in and preventing you from working and you will sue,” they wrote in a comment.
Someone else suggested she “call the police and report illegal dumping.”
“Looks like it’s blocking your vehicle. Call the police. Don’t forget to invoice Home Depot for the ‘storage fees,'” another echoed.
“Call the nearest landscaper and tell them it’s free as long as they can pick it up immediately, suggested a third clever consumer.
It’s unclear if the incident has since been resolved.
Home Depot Items You Can’t Return

- Major appliances
- Custom products (paint, blinds, etc.)
- Special order products
- Generators
- Delivery, labor, and installation services
- Product samples

The U.S. Sun has contacted Home Depot for more information.
This wouldn’t be the first time the company has been called out by fuming shoppers in recent months.
ORDER MAYHEM
In January, Home Depot promised it would investigate after a “screw up” left a homeowner without a heater they’d ordered to combat the cold winter months.
“@HomeDepot has left me w/o heat in freezing temps, telling me the ‘vendor’ canceled my heater order,” customer Kristi Spencer wrote in a post on X.
Home Depot does use several vendors to supply orders, so it’s entirely possible the chain doesn’t have full control over deliveries, which could explain Angel’s situation.
This didn’t seem to be the case for Kristi, as she was able to contact the vendor of the heater ordered.
“Spoke to vendor, who said they didn’t cancel and have plenty,” Kristi continued.
“HD still telling me they can’t get me one because their ‘system’ isn’t updated. Seriously?” she asked.
Home Depot replied quickly, noting that the customer’s “disappointment” was understood, and asked Kristi for more details to resolve the issue.
Self-checkout has also been a point of contention for Home Depot shoppers lately.
A shopper claimed they were yelled at “like TSA” at the kiosks in the checkout area of their local store for a crucial reason back in October.
A payment method issue at self-checkout also left a Home Depot customer “waiting 10 minutes” and led to them walking out of the store for a rival outlet instead.
