Hoover has launched what it claims is its most advanced washing machine range yet – the Pro Wash collection, which marries smarter cycles with quieter operation and a splash of AI to make laundry day (hopefully) a little less of a chore.
Available in the Series 3 and Series 5 models, the Pro Wash lineup brings in intelligent fabric detection and improved hygiene features, hopefully signalling a serious step forward both in efficiency and performance.
At the heart of the new machines is Hoover’s AI-driven Auto Care system, which automatically detects fabric type and load size to fine-tune every cycle, adjusting water levels, detergent, and timing for optimal cleaning without waste.
The connected hOn app also unlocks more than 60 custom programs, live energy tracking, and personalised maintenance reminders via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
For those worried about long-term wear, Clean Shield tech looks to remove up to 99% of bacteria while keeping clothes fresher between washes. Inside, a 20-year-tested BPM motor ensures whisper-quiet spins and fewer vibrations, which is a big plus for open-plan homes or late-night loads.
Performance-wise, both aim to balance power with sustainability. The Pro Wash Series 3 offers smart and accessible cleaning with a capacity of between 9kg and 11kg, while the higher-end Series 5 offers a maximum of 10kg to 13kg, adding in AI Silent Motion and a Smart Spray plus Steam function to give fabrics an extra deep care.
Quick Wash cycles of approximately 14 or 30 minutes accommodate smaller loads, while the XL Soft Drum design provides extra fabric gentleness and facilitates improved wash results, reportedly up to 20% better.
What’s the difference between the models?
The Series 3 (£349) model is designed for between 9 and 11kg loads, and boasts the AI-sensor guided wash cycle features. The Series 5 (£399) is a flagship model, taking loads up to 13kg and boasting the Clean Shield anti-bac protection and Smart Spray steam functionality.
