Huawei has announced at MWC Barcelona 2026 a new generation of U6 GHz products for different scenarios, designed to help operators make the most of the potential of 5G-A and facilitate a progressive transition towards 6G. The company motto “Advancing All Intelligence”reflects its commitment to developing computing networks and platforms designed from the beginning for artificial intelligence, allowing operators and business clients to take advantage of the opportunities of this new era.
To this end, the company has launched solutions with the focus AI-Centric Networkaimed at preparing operators for the agentic era, in which services, networks and the network elements themselves will incorporate advanced intelligent capabilities. For the first time outside of China, Huawei is also exhibiting its SuperPoD cluster, conceived as a new computing infrastructure alternative for the smart world.
Huawei at MWC 2026: paving the way to 6G
The next five years will be decisive in unlocking the full potential of 5G-A. To do this, Huawei will collaborate with operators around the world to accelerate large-scale deploymentreinforce the data upload capacity (uplink), key to the growth of mobile applications based on AI, and take advantage of the U6 GHz band to optimize the use of the spectrum and facilitate the evolution towards 6G.
There are currently 70 million 5G-A users in the world, and its adoption continues to grow. In China, Huawei has contributed to deploying continuous 5G-A coverage in more than 270 cities, in addition to launching specific commercial packages in more than 30 provinces, aimed at monetizing the user experience.
The new U6 GHz products and solutions incorporate technologies that allow the construction of high-capacity, low-latency and optimized experience infrastructures, especially designed for mobile applications driven by artificial intelligence.
AI-Centric Network
In line with the trend of integrating artificial intelligence directly into the network, Huawei is promoting its AI-Centric Network approach, which incorporates intelligent capabilities at three levels:
- At the service layer: The company helps operators develop multi-agent collaborative platforms with specialized functions such as call management, experience monetization or home broadband that allow them to transform key services such as voice, internet access or home connectivity with AI.
- At the network layer: The first phase of the Autonomous Network Level 4 (ADN L4) solution focuses on automation for specific scenarios, significantly improving efficiency in operation and maintenance (O&M), network quality and monetization capacity. By the end of 2025, these solutions had been commercially deployed in more than 130 telecommunications networks worldwide. The next step will be to move towards comprehensive network autonomy within each domain.
- At the network element (NE) layer: Huawei works with operators to innovate in areas such as algorithmic optimization in RAN networks, intelligent identification of services in WAN networks, and unified integration of services in the network core. These advances are already improving energy and spectral efficiency, intelligent service perception, and network resilience.
SuperPoD and compute clusters
In the computing field, Huawei is exhibiting its SuperPoD technology for the first time outside of Chinawhich incorporates innovations at the system architecture level, such as UnifiedBus interconnection technology. Among the products presented are:
- Atlas 950 SuperPoD for AI computing
- TaiShan 950 SuperPoD for General Computing
- Atlas 850E SuperPoD
- TaiShan 500 and TaiShan 200 servers
These solutions respond to the growing demand for greater computing capacity and lower latency, especially relevant in a context in which AI models with trillions of parameters and agentic AI are integrated into critical production systems. Huawei also underlines its commitment to open source and open access, working with partners to build an open computing ecosystem that offers the market new robust alternatives in processing infrastructure.
